Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car in Western Paraguay, make your way towards Areguá. From Asunción, take the Ruta 1 south for approximately 30 km until you reach the junction to Ruta Areguá. Follow Ruta Areguá for about 10 km. Once you reach the area near Areguá, look for signs indicating Cerro Kõi. The park is located along Ruta Aregua, which is well-marked. Parking is usually available nearby, but be prepared for a small fee, typically around 5,000 PYG.

• Public Transportation

  To visit Cerro Kõi using public transport, take a bus from the Terminal de Ómnibus in Asunción. Look for buses heading to Areguá; they typically run every 30 minutes. The journey should take about 1 hour and cost around 10,000 PYG. Once you arrive in Areguá, you can take a short taxi ride to Cerro Kõi for about 15,000 PYG, or if you prefer to walk, it is a 20-30 minute stroll. Make sure to check the return bus schedule to avoid being stranded.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can use a taxi service from Asunción directly to Cerro Kõi. This will be more expensive, costing approximately 150,000 PYG depending on your negotiation skills and the taxi service you use. The drive should take about 40 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure that the taxi driver understands your destination clearly.
