Car
From any location within Allegheny National Forest, head toward US Route 62 and take it south. Follow US Route 62 to I-80 E. Merge onto I-80 E and follow signs for Pittsburgh. Take Exit 57A toward I-376 S/US-22 E. Continue on I-376 S, then take Exit 1A for the Fort Pitt Bridge. Follow signs for the South Side and merge onto S Water St. Continue onto 2nd Ave, then turn left onto Bailey Ave. Follow Bailey Ave to reach Emerald View Park located at Bailey Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15211.
Public Transportation
To reach Emerald View Park using public transportation, you can first take a local bus from Allegheny National Forest to Pittsburgh. Once in Pittsburgh, transfer to the Port Authority Bus System. Take the bus that goes to the South Side area. From the nearest bus stop, you can either walk or take a short taxi or rideshare service to Bailey Ave, where Emerald View Park is located. Please check the Port Authority website for the latest bus schedules and fares.
Biking
If you prefer biking, follow the same route as the car pathway but make sure to check local bike trails and paths along US Route 62 and I-376 S. Biking may take longer, and safety gear is recommended. Upon arriving in Pittsburgh, navigate toward Bailey Ave, where you can park your bike at designated bike racks near Emerald View Park.
Walking (from a nearby area)
If you find yourself in the South Side area of Pittsburgh, you can walk to Emerald View Park. Start on S Water St and continue onto 2nd Ave. From there, turn left onto Bailey Ave. The park is within walking distance, and you can enjoy a scenic walk through the neighborhood. Expect to walk approximately 30 minutes from the South Side area.
