Getting There

  • Public Transit - Bus

    From Allentown, head to the Allentown Transportation Center (ATC) located at 325 Hamilton St, Allentown, PA 18101. Take the LANTA bus route 325 towards Kutztown. This bus will take you directly to the vicinity of Kutztown. After approximately 30-40 minutes, disembark at the stop closest to Crystal Cave. You may need to ask the bus driver for the best stop. From the bus stop, walk approximately 1 mile south on Crystal Cave Rd until you reach 963 Crystal Cave Rd, Kutztown, PA 19530.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Allentown. Start at the Allentown City Park and take the bike path leading out of the city towards Kutztown. Follow the bike-friendly routes and continue onto Crystal Cave Rd. The total distance is about 15 miles, which should take you approximately 1-1.5 hours. Ensure to follow all traffic laws and wear a helmet.

  • Walking

    Walking from Allentown to Crystal Cave is quite a long trek. However, if you're up for the challenge, start from the center of Allentown at the Allentown Park. Head northwest and follow the route along W Highland St, then connect to W Tilghman St. Continue straight to PA-222 N which leads towards Kutztown. Keep walking for about 15 miles, and eventually, turn onto Crystal Cave Rd, where you'll find Crystal Cave at 963 Crystal Cave Rd, Kutztown, PA 19530. This walk would take approximately 4-5 hours, so prepare accordingly.
