Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the center of Delaware Valley, head north on River Road (PA-32) toward Upper Black Eddy. Continue on River Road for approximately 12 miles until you reach the intersection with Lodi Hill Road. Turn left onto Lodi Hill Road, and the entrance to Delaware Canal State Park will be on your right at 11 Lodi Hill Rd, Upper Black Eddy, PA 18972. Parking is available on-site, and there is no entrance fee.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Delaware Canal State Park via public transportation, you can take the New Jersey Transit train from Trenton, NJ to the nearest station, which is the Lambertville station. From Lambertville, you will need to use a taxi or rideshare service, as public transport options are limited. The distance from Lambertville to the park is approximately 4 miles, and a taxi ride should cost around $15-$20. Ensure to check the train schedule in advance for timings.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can follow the Delaware Canal Towpath. If you are in the nearby towns of New Hope or Lambertville, head south on the towpath. It's a scenic ride along the canal, and you can reach Delaware Canal State Park in about 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace. Remember to wear a helmet and bring water.

• Walking

  If you're already in Upper Black Eddy, you can walk to Delaware Canal State Park. From the center of town, head northwest on Lodi Hill Road for about 1 mile until you reach the park entrance. This is a lovely walk through the countryside, and it should take you approximately 20 minutes.
