Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Gettysburg National Military Park Visitor Center, exit the center and head west on Taneytown Road (Route 134). Continue walking for approximately 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with South Confederate Avenue. Turn left onto South Confederate Avenue, and after another 0.7 miles, you will see the Warfield Ridge Observation Tower on your right. The walk will take around 20-25 minutes at a leisurely pace.

  • Biking

    From the Gettysburg town square, head south on Baltimore Street, which turns into South Washington Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Taneytown Road (Route 134). Turn left onto Taneytown Road and cycle for about 1 mile until you reach South Confederate Avenue. Turn right onto South Confederate Avenue. Warfield Ridge will be on your right after approximately 0.7 miles. The biking route is approximately 2.5 miles and should take around 15-20 minutes.
