Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from any location in Laurel Highlands and navigate to PA-30 E. Once on PA-30 E, follow the signs for Ligonier. After approximately 10 miles, take the exit toward Ligonier/Laurel Mountain State Park. Merge onto Ligonier Road (PA-381). Continue for about 5 miles until you reach 770 Ligonier Road, Rector, PA 15677. Look for park signage to guide you into the park entrance.

• Public Transportation

  For those relying on public transportation, you can take a bus from Pittsburgh to Ligonier via the Laurel Line. Once you arrive in Ligonier, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Laurel Mountain State Park, as there is no direct public transport to the park. The taxi ride will be approximately 15 minutes and may cost around $20. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will take you to 770 Ligonier Road, Rector, PA 15677.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and would like to bike to Laurel Mountain State Park, you can start from Ligonier and follow the scenic routes that lead to the park. The cycling route from Ligonier to the park is about 5 miles and is mostly along Ligonier Road. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules, as some sections may have traffic.
