Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, head towards Bethlehem, PA. Use your GPS or mapping app to navigate to 56 River St, Bethlehem, PA 18018. From I-78, take exit 67 for PA-412 N. Continue onto PA-412 N and follow signs for Bethlehem. Once in Bethlehem, turn onto River St, and you'll find Sand Island Park on your left. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that some spots may have a fee, typically around $1-$2 per hour.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  For those using public transportation, check the LANTA bus schedule. You can take the Route 325 bus from various locations in Lehigh Valley to the Bethlehem Transportation Center. From the bus terminal, it's about a 15-minute walk to Sand Island Park. Head east on W 3rd St, then turn left onto River St. Follow River St until you reach the park. Make sure to check the LANTA website for the latest bus schedules and fares, which are typically around $1.75 per ride.

• Bike

  If you're feeling adventurous, you can bike to Sand Island Park. Bethlehem has a growing network of bike lanes. Start by heading to the Lehigh River Trail. Follow the trail south until you reach the park entrance at 56 River St. This route provides a scenic ride along the river, and there are bike racks available at the park.   If you're staying nearby, walking to Sand Island Park is a pleasant option. From downtown Bethlehem, head east towards the river. You can take W 3rd St or any of the parallel streets that lead to River St. The park is easily accessible on foot, and it’s a great way to enjoy the local scenery. Once you reach River St, turn left to find the park entrance. The park is open daily from 6 AM to 9 PM.
