Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from downtown Allentown, take US-22 W for approximately 8 miles. Merge onto PA-309 N via the exit on the left toward Quakertown. Continue on PA-309 N for about 10 miles, then take the exit for PA-873 N toward Slatington. Follow PA-873 N for about 4 miles until you reach the intersection with Paint Mill Rd. Turn right onto Paint Mill Rd, and the Lehigh Gap Nature Center will be on your left after about 1 mile. The center's address is 8844 Paint Mill Rd, Slatington, PA 18080.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Lehigh Gap Nature Center using public transportation, you can take the LANTA bus service. Start by taking the Route 2 bus from downtown Allentown toward the Lehigh Valley Mall. Get off at the intersection of PA-873 and Main St in Slatington. From there, it is about a 1.5-mile walk to the nature center. Head north on PA-873, then turn left onto Paint Mill Rd. Walk approximately 1 mile until you reach the center. Please check the LANTA website for fare information and bus schedules.

• Combination of Car and Hiking

  If you are staying in nearby towns such as Bethlehem or Easton, you can drive to the nearest parking area along the Appalachian Trail. From there, you can hike approximately 2 miles to reach Lehigh Gap Nature Center. Park your car at the designated parking area, then follow the trail signs towards the nature center. Ensure you wear appropriate footwear and carry water for the hike.
