If you're driving from Main Line, take the I-76 E highway towards Philadelphia. Follow the signs for I-76 E and merge onto the highway. Continue on I-76 E for about 15 miles. Take exit 344 toward US-30 W/Market St. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for US-30 W/Market St and merge onto Market St. Continue on Market St for about 1 mile. Turn left onto N 20th St. The Franklin Institute will be on your right at 222 N 20th St. Parking is available nearby, but may incur a fee of about $10-$20 depending on the lot.

Public Transportation (Train)
From any location in Main Line, you can take the Regional Rail train from your nearest station to Center City Philadelphia. Look for the Paoli/Thorndale line or the Cynwyd line. Purchase a ticket at the station. Once you arrive at Suburban Station in Philadelphia, exit the station and walk to 16th St. Head north on 16th St toward JFK Blvd. Turn right onto JFK Blvd and continue until you reach 20th St. Turn left and walk two blocks to reach The Franklin Institute at 222 N 20th St. Train tickets usually cost around $8-$10 one way.

If you prefer to use the bus, check the SEPTA bus routes that operate in the Main Line area. Take a bus that heads towards 69th Street Terminal or directly to Philadelphia. Once you arrive in Philadelphia, find a bus stop for the bus routes that go towards Center City. Buses like the 44, 48, and 124 can take you close to The Franklin Institute. Get off at the stop nearest to 20th St and walk to 222 N 20th St. Bus fares are typically around $2.50.
