    Walk

    If you are in downtown Pittsburgh, start at the corner of 6th Ave and Smithfield St. Walk south on Smithfield St until you reach the Monongahela Incline. At the incline station, you can enjoy a scenic view of the city. Once you reach the top, exit and walk to the left onto Grandview Ave. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with W Carson St. Turn right onto W Carson St and follow it for about half a mile until you arrive at the Duquesne Incline at 1197 W Carson St.

    Public Transit - Bus

    From Point State Park in downtown Pittsburgh, walk to the bus stop at 6th Ave and Liberty Ave. Take bus number 42 or 48 towards the South Side. Get off at the stop near the intersection of W Carson St and S 18th St. From there, walk west along W Carson St for approximately 0.3 miles until you reach the Duquesne Incline at 1197 W Carson St.

    Public Transit - T

    If you are near the First Avenue Station, take the T (light rail) towards South Hills Village. Get off at the Station Square stop. From Station Square, walk up the hill towards W Carson St. Cross the street and walk along W Carson St for about 0.4 miles. You will see the Duquesne Incline on your left at 1197 W Carson St.
