Walking
If you are starting from the Point State Park, exit the park heading north and follow the path along the riverside. Continue walking towards Fort Duquesne by following the Three Rivers Heritage Trail System. The trail will lead you directly to Fort Duquesne, which is located at 3 Rivers Heritage Trail System, Downtown, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. The walk is scenic along the river and takes about 10-15 minutes.

Public Transit (Bus)
From the Wood Street Station on the T light rail line (which you can access from various locations in Pittsburgh), take the light rail towards South Hills Village. Get off at the next stop, Gateway Center. From the Gateway Center, exit the station and walk towards the riverfront. Head west on Liberty Avenue, and then turn left onto the Three Rivers Heritage Trail. Walk along the trail for about 10 minutes until you reach Fort Duquesne.

Public Transit (Bus)
If you are near the Strip District, take bus number 54 from 21st Street at Smallman Street. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at Liberty Avenue and 6th Street. From there, walk towards the riverfront and follow the Three Rivers Heritage Trail for about 15 minutes until you arrive at Fort Duquesne.

If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental services in Downtown Pittsburgh. Start from the Cultural District and head towards the Three Rivers Heritage Trail. Follow the trail along the Allegheny River for approximately 1 mile, which will take you about 10 minutes. Fort Duquesne will be on your right as you approach the point where the three rivers meet.
