Walking
From the heart of the Strip District, head south on Smallman Street toward Liberty Avenue. Turn left onto Liberty Avenue and walk for about 0.5 miles. You will cross over the Fort Duquesne Bridge. After crossing the bridge, continue straight onto Commonwealth Place, which leads directly into Point State Park. The Fort Pitt Museum is located within the park at 601 Commonwealth Place. The entire walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

Public Transit (Bus)
If you prefer to take public transit, you can catch the Port Authority bus #1, #2, or #6 from the Strip District. Board any of these buses at the nearest stop on Liberty Avenue. Ride the bus for about 5-10 minutes and disembark at the stop for the Fort Pitt Bridge. From there, walk down to Commonwealth Place, where the Fort Pitt Museum is located within Point State Park.
