If you're driving from any location within Presque Isle State Park, head towards the main park road, known as Peninsula Drive. Follow Peninsula Drive south until you reach the park exit. At the exit, turn left onto West 8th Street. Continue straight for about 3 miles until you reach State Street. Turn right onto State Street, and after approximately 0.5 miles, you will see Bicentennial Tower on your left at 1 State St, Erie, PA 16507. Parking is available nearby, with potential costs depending on the time of day.
Public Transportation
To reach Bicentennial Tower via public transportation, you can take the Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority (EMTA) bus service. Board a bus on the Presque Isle route that heads towards downtown Erie. Get off at the stop closest to State Street, which is typically near the Erie County Courthouse. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles south along State Street to arrive at Bicentennial Tower. Ensure to check the EMTA schedule for accurate timings and routes, as costs may apply for bus fare.
Biking/Walking
For those who prefer biking or walking, you can follow the scenic trails within Presque Isle State Park. Start from the main park area and take the paved paths leading south towards the park exit. Once you exit the park, continue along West 8th Street and then State Street. The total distance from the park to Bicentennial Tower is about 4 miles.
