If you are driving within Presque Isle State Park, head towards the entrance of the park from the main road (State Route 832). Once inside, follow the signs directing you towards the Perry Monument. The monument is located at the end of the park drive, and you will find parking available nearby. The coordinates for the Perry Monument are approximately 42.1551° N latitude and -80.0894° W longitude.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, first take a bus to the nearest stop outside of Presque Isle State Park. The Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority (EMTA) operates buses that can take you close to the park’s entrance. From there, you will need to walk about 1.5 miles to reach the Perry Monument. Follow the path within the park that leads to the monument, which is well-marked with signs.
Walking/Biking
For those already within the park and looking to get to Perry Monument on foot or by bike, you can follow the paved paths that lead towards the monument. Start from the Visitor Center or the beach area and look for directional signs that will guide you. It’s about a 1-mile walk or bike ride from either location, taking you through scenic park areas.
