  • Public Bus

    From Reading, find the nearest bus stop for the BARTA public transportation service. You will want to catch the Route 1 bus heading towards Lancaster. The bus will take you along the route to Lancaster. Once you arrive at the Lancaster Bus Station, which is located at 45 E King St, you can transfer to the Route 10 bus heading towards the Lancaster County Central Park. Get off at the stop closest to 1050 Rockford Rd. Follow the signs to the park entrance, which will be a short walk from the bus stop.

  • Train

    Head to the Reading Station located at 150 S 4th St. Purchase a ticket for the Amtrak train heading towards Harrisburg. Once you arrive at the Lancaster Station, which is approximately a 30-minute ride, exit the train and head to the bus stop outside the station. From there, board the Route 10 bus, which will take you to Lancaster County Central Park. Disembark at the stop for 1050 Rockford Rd and follow the directions to the park entrance.

  • Walking

    If you are in central Reading, you can enjoy a scenic walk towards Lancaster, which is about 20 miles away. Start your journey by heading southwest on Penn St toward S 3rd St. Continue straight to follow PA-272 S (also known as Lancaster Ave). Keep walking for approximately 5 hours, and you will arrive at Lancaster County Central Park. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water for your walk.
