Start at the Reading Transportation Center located at 8th and Washington Streets. Board the BARTA bus line #1 (or any bus that heads towards the North Reading area). Stay on the bus until you reach the 'Red Bridge Road' stop. From there, walk north on Red Bridge Road for about 0.5 miles until you see the Berks County Heritage Center on your left at 1102 Red Bridge Rd. Look for the large sign indicating the Heritage Center.

If you are renting a bike, head towards the Schuylkill River Trail from downtown Reading. Follow the trail north until you reach the intersection with Red Bridge Road. Turn left onto Red Bridge Road and continue for about 1 mile. The Berks County Heritage Center will be on your right at 1102 Red Bridge Rd. This route offers scenic views along the river.
