Head towards the trailhead marked for the Gully Trail. The trail is well-marked and follows a scenic route through the park. Walk approximately 1.5 miles on this trail. You will pass several smaller waterfalls along the way. Keep an eye out for trail markers indicating the direction to Oneida Falls. Eventually, you will hear the sound of rushing water, which will guide you to the falls. The total hike might take about 30-45 minutes depending on your pace.
Biking
For those who prefer biking, you can use any bike rental service available in nearby towns. Once you have your bike, ride to the Gully Trail access point at the main parking area of Ricketts Glen State Park (GPS: 41.3235, -76.2938). From there, follow the same route as described for walking. Biking on the Gully Trail is allowed but be cautious of hikers and the terrain. The ride to Oneida Falls typically takes around 20-30 minutes, depending on your biking speed.
Car
If you are driving to Ricketts Glen State Park, use your GPS to navigate to the park's main entrance at 695 State Route 487, Benton, PA 17814. Once inside the park, proceed to the main parking area (GPS: 41.3235, -76.2938). After parking, you will need to hike to Oneida Falls as no vehicles are allowed on the trails. Follow the Gully Trail from the parking area as outlined above. Please note that there is a day-use fee for entering the park, typically around $10 per vehicle.
