Getting There

  Begin at the Scranton city center, where you'll find the bus terminal at 123 Wyoming Ave. Board the 'Lackawanna Transit' bus route that heads towards North Scranton. Stay on the bus for approximately 15-20 minutes until you reach the stop at the intersection of Main Street and Bald Mountain Road. Once you disembark, walk north on Bald Mountain Road for about 0.5 miles, and you will arrive at the Anthracite Heritage Museum located at 22 Bald Mountain Rd.

  If you're starting from a central location in Scranton, such as the Lackawanna County Courthouse, walk north on Washington Avenue towards the Steamtown National Historic Site. Once you reach the site, continue walking north along the rail tracks until you reach the intersection with Lackawanna Avenue. Turn left onto Lackawanna Avenue and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Bald Mountain Road. Turn right onto Bald Mountain Road and walk for about 0.7 miles. The Anthracite Heritage Museum will be on your left at 22 Bald Mountain Rd.
