From Scranton, take the #1 or #2 bus from the Scranton Transit Center located at 1230 Wyoming Ave. Both buses head towards the nearby areas of North Abington Township. You will want to get off at the stop closest to the intersection of North Abington Road and Old State Road. This bus ride typically takes about 30-40 minutes. After disembarking, walk north on North Abington Road for about 1.5 miles until you reach the entrance of Lackawanna State Park at 1839 N Abington Rd.

If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Scranton. Start at the Scranton Cultural Center at 420 N Washington Ave and head north on Washington Ave. Continue onto E Market St, then take a left onto N Abington Rd.
