You will want to get off at the stop closest to the intersection of North Abington Road and Old State Road. This bus ride typically takes about 30-40 minutes. After disembarking, walk north on North Abington Road for about 1.5 miles until you reach the entrance of Lackawanna State Park at 1839 N Abington Rd.

If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Scranton. Start at the Scranton Cultural Center at 420 N Washington Ave and head north on Washington Ave. Continue onto E Market St, then take a left onto N Abington Rd. Follow N Abington Rd north for approximately 4 miles until you reach Lackawanna State Park at 1839 N Abington Rd. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic regulations.

Start from the Scranton Public Library at 500 Vine St. Walk north on N Washington Ave, then turn left onto E Market St. After about half a mile, turn right onto N Abington Rd. Continue walking on N Abington Rd for about 4 miles. This walk will take you through residential areas and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Keep an eye out for pedestrian paths along the way.
