Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto I-95 N from your current location in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Depending on your starting point, you might take local roads to reach I-95. Continue on I-95 N for about 15 miles. Take exit 22 toward Columbus Blvd/US-30 and merge onto Columbus Blvd. After approximately 1 mile, turn left onto S 4th St. The Hill-Physick House will be on your right at 321 S 4th St, Philadelphia, PA 19106. Parking is available on the street, but be sure to check for any parking meters or time limits.

• Public Transportation - Train

  To reach the Hill-Physick House by public transportation, take a SEPTA Regional Rail train from your nearest station heading to Philadelphia. If you're coming from areas like West Chester or Media, you will likely take the Paoli/Thorndale line. Once you arrive at the Philadelphia 30th Street Station, transfer to the Market-Frankford Line (Blue Line) toward Frankford. Get off at the 5th Street/Independence Hall station. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk to the Hill-Physick House. Head south on 5th St, then turn right onto Chestnut St, and finally turn left onto S 4th St. The house will be on your left. Note that a ticket for the Regional Rail will cost around $10-$12, and the subway fare is $2.50.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  If you prefer to take a bus, check the SEPTA website for bus schedules that service the Philadelphia area. Routes such as the 17, 25, and 57 can take you to stops near the Hill-Physick House. For example, you can take Bus 17 from various locations in the suburbs to the 5th Street and Market Street stop. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk. Head south on 5th St, then turn right onto Chestnut St, and finally turn left onto S 4th St. The house will be on your left. Bus fare is approximately $2.50.
