    If you are traveling by car, take the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) from anywhere in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Exit onto I-476 North towards Plymouth Meeting. Continue on I-476 North and take the exit for US-1 North. Merge onto US-1 North and follow the signs for Roosevelt Boulevard. Once on Roosevelt Boulevard, take the exit for Adams Avenue. Continue on Adams Avenue until you reach Germantown Avenue. Turn left onto Germantown Avenue and proceed for about a mile. Grumblethorpe will be on your right at 5267 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19144.

  • Public Transportation - Train and Bus

    Start your journey by taking the SEPTA Regional Rail from any station in Southeastern Pennsylvania to the North Philadelphia Station. From North Philadelphia Station, transfer to the #23 bus towards the Germantown Avenue and E. Washington Lane stop. Stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes and disembark at Germantown Avenue. Walk a short distance south on Germantown Avenue for approximately 5 minutes to reach Grumblethorpe at 5267 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19144. Note that the fare for the train will depend on your starting station and the bus fare is $2.50.

  • Public Transportation - Subway and Bus

    Take the SEPTA Broad Street Line subway northbound from Center City Philadelphia. Get off at the Olney Transportation Center. From Olney, transfer to the #18 bus towards Germantown Avenue.
