If you are driving, start by navigating to the address Hermit Ln, Philadelphia, PA 19128. From downtown Philadelphia, take I-76 W (Schuylkill Expressway) towards Valley Forge. After approximately 10 miles, take exit 338 for I-476 N toward Plymouth Meeting. Continue on I-476 N for about 5 miles, then take exit 1 to merge onto I-76 W toward Harrisburg. After about 3 miles, take exit 339 for US-1 N toward Roosevelt Blvd. Continue to follow US-1 N for approximately 4 miles, then take the exit toward Ridge Ave. Continue on Ridge Ave for about 2 miles, then turn left onto Hermit Ln. The cave entrance will be on your right side.

To reach Kelpius Cave using public transportation, start by taking the SEPTA regional rail from your location to the Manayunk station. Depending on your starting point, you may take the R6 line. Once you arrive at Manayunk, exit the station and walk towards Main St. From there, you can catch the 35 bus towards Roxborough. Get off at the stop closest to Hermit Ln.
