If you are driving, start from the main city center of Chachapoyas in Amazonas. Head south on the PE-3N highway towards the city of Abancay. After approximately 3 hours, you will reach the junction where you take the PE-3S towards Cusco. Continue on this road for about 5 hours. As you approach the city of Cusco, follow signs for 'Saqsaywaman'. The archaeological site is located just a few kilometers from the city center, and there is parking available nearby. Note that there might be a small fee for parking.

Public Transportation (Bus)
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Chachapoyas to Cusco. The journey will take around 10-12 hours, so plan accordingly. Once you arrive at the Cusco bus terminal, look for local transport options such as taxis or shared vans (colectivos) that will take you to Saqsaywaman. The ride from the bus terminal to Saqsaywaman will take about 15-20 minutes, and the cost for a taxi can range from 10-20 soles. Ensure to confirm the price before getting in.

If you are staying in the city center of Cusco, you can also walk to Saqsaywaman. It is about a 30-40 minute walk uphill from the Plaza de Armas (the main square in Cusco).
