3 Day Trek Including Transfer to Puno / Colca Canyon

Demanding trek but GREAT! Thanks to the guide, Angel.

Very early wake-up call, followed by a 3-hour bus ride, but it is worth it because it allows you to arrive early enough to observe the condors. It was magical. The breakfast served, however, is quite disappointing and lacks flavor. We continue by bus to the start of the hike. It involves 3 hours of descent, which is quite physical due to the heat (definitely do not forget sunscreen). We arrive at our village and we eat the lunch served by the locals. The room is very rustic but we slept well. There were only 4 of us, so we each had our own room and did not need to share it. The shower and toilets are outside but we were able to shower with lukewarm water, which is very appreciated. The next day, the hike in the "jungle" was more accessible and the guide showed us many plants and their uses. Upon arrival, we had a room with a private bathroom (additional option) but it remains rustic (it is not a hotel room). I really enjoyed the pool and the games available. Finally, the meal was very good, but there was no alternative for those who do not eat pork, which is a shame. The next day we left at night for the climb to suffer less from the heat. The hike was difficult but the guide knew how to accompany us. The hot springs allowed us to recover from the effort provided, then we ate a buffet for lunch (not included). Overall we ate very well but you have to like soup and simple things. Thanks again Angel for your energy, your encouragement, and all your knowledge.

Juan was a great guide

Great trekking with Juan. He's a very patient, funny, well prepared and qualified guide. I really enjoyed my two days in the canyon. The tour was very well organized to the tiniest details. Very good value for money. And the landscapes are totally worth it!

Route somewhat demanding but worthwhile in the Colca Canyon pity that the bungalows do not even deserve the name "basics".
