Getting There

• Public Bus

  From Cayma, you can take a public bus heading towards the city center. Look for buses labeled 'Centro' or 'Plaza de Armas.' The bus fare is approximately 1.50 PEN. Board the bus at one of the main stops in Cayma, like the one near the Plaza de Cayma. The ride will take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach the Plaza de Armas, you can easily spot it; it is the main square surrounded by beautiful colonial architecture.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi. You can hail a taxi from the street or use a local taxi app. The fare to Plaza de Armas should be around 10-15 PEN from Cayma, depending on traffic. The journey will typically take about 10-15 minutes. Make sure to tell the driver 'Plaza de Armas' or show them the address: JF27+F69, Arequipa 04001.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking, it's also possible to walk to Plaza de Armas from Cayma. Start by heading towards Avenida Rumiñahui and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida La Paz. Turn left onto Avenida La Paz and keep walking until you reach the main road leading into the city center. The walk will take approximately 40-50 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
