Getting There

Walking
From the main square (Plaza de Armas) in Ayacucho, head southwest towards Calle 28 de Julio. Walk down Calle 28 de Julio until you reach the intersection with Avenida Sucre. Turn left onto Avenida Sucre and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. You will eventually see signs directing you towards Pampa de Quinua. Follow the signs until you reach the entrance of the hiking area.

Public Transport
From the main square (Plaza de Armas), find a local minibus or colectivo that goes to Pampa de Quinua. You can ask locals which minibus to take; they are usually located near the square. Once on the minibus, inform the driver you are going to Pampa de Quinua. The ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Get off at the designated stop, which will be marked for Pampa de Quinua, and then walk the remaining distance to the entrance, which should be about 500 meters.

Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ayacucho. Start at Plaza de Armas and head towards Avenida Sucre. Once on Avenida Sucre, follow it out of the city towards the direction of Pampa de Quinua. The ride is approximately 8 kilometers and will take around 30 minutes. Keep an eye out for signs leading to Pampa de Quinua as you approach.
