Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main town of Cusco. Head south on Av. El Sol and follow signs for the PE-3S highway towards Abancay. Continue on this road for approximately 3 hours until you reach the town of Limatambo. From Limatambo, take the road that leads to Choquequirao. The road is mostly unpaved and can be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Drive for about 2 hours until you reach the trailhead near the town of Cachora. Park your vehicle here and begin your hike towards Choquequirao, which will eventually lead you to San Blas Waterfall and caves.

Public Transportation
To reach San Blas Waterfall using public transportation, first take a bus from Cusco to Abancay. Buses leave regularly from the terminal and the journey takes about 3 hours. Once in Abancay, catch a bus to Limatambo. After arriving in Limatambo, you will need to find a local transport service (minibus or taxi) that can take you to Cachora, the starting point for the Choquequirao Trek. From Cachora, you will need to hike approximately 5-7 hours to reach the San Blas Waterfall and caves. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks for your hike.

Once you have reached Cachora, the hike to San Blas Waterfall begins. Follow the marked trail towards Choquequirao. After about an hour of hiking, you should see signs indicating the direction to the waterfall. The trail will descend steeply, and you will cross several small streams. The hike to the waterfall takes approximately 3-4 hours from Cachora. Upon reaching the San Blas Waterfall, enjoy the beautiful scenery and take some time to explore the caves nearby.
