From Chivay, the main town in Colca Canyon, drive towards the town of Yanque. Follow the signs for Yanque, approximately 5 kilometers away, then continue on the road towards the town of Achoma. After reaching Achoma, follow the signs towards the Uyo Uyo archaeological site. The site is located about 15 kilometers from Achoma. Make sure to have a map or GPS as the road can be winding and less marked. Parking is available near the site.

Upon reaching Yanque, you can hire a taxi to take you specifically to Uyo Uyo, which is about a 30-minute drive from Yanque. If you prefer walking, it’s possible to hike from Yanque to Uyo Uyo, but this may take more time and requires good physical fitness.
