Car
If you are traveling by car from Lares Trek, first head towards the town of Lares. From there, take the road towards Urubamba. It is approximately a 1.5-hour drive. Once you reach Urubamba, look for Jirón Grau, where Machu Colca is located at Jirón Grau 3314. There is parking available near the site, but make sure to check for any local parking regulations.
Public Transportation
To reach Machu Colca using public transportation, start from Lares Trek by taking a local bus or colectivo (shared taxi) to the town of Calca. This ride will take about 30-40 minutes. From Calca, take another colectivo or bus to Urubamba, which takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Urubamba, you can either walk or take a taxi to Jirón Grau 3314, where Machu Colca is located. The taxi ride from the Urubamba bus terminal to Machu Colca will cost approximately 5-10 soles.
