Car
If you are driving, start from the main town of Calca. From the center of Calca, head southeast on Av. San Martin. After approximately 3 km, turn left onto the road leading towards Cataratas de Arín. Follow this road for about 5 km, and you will reach the parking area near the waterfalls. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for the local conditions, as some roads may be unpaved.
Public Transportation
To reach Cataratas de Arín via public transport, you will need to take a colectivo (shared taxi) from Calca. Head to the main square, where you can find colectivos heading towards Lares. Ask the driver to drop you off at the closest point to Cataratas de Arín. This journey costs around 10-15 soles and takes about 30 minutes. From where you are dropped off, you may need to walk for approximately 1-2 km to reach the waterfalls.
Walking
Once you have arrived by car or colectivo, the final stretch to Cataratas de Arín involves a short hike. From the parking area or drop-off point, follow the marked trail towards the waterfalls. The hike is approximately 1 km and should take about 20-30 minutes. Be prepared for some uneven terrain, and ensure you have suitable footwear.
