The fare for the colectivo is usually around 15-20 soles. Upon arriving in Ollantaytambo, ask to be dropped off near the Ruinas Ollantaytambo, which is located at PPVM+8JH.
Private Car
If you're traveling by private car, start from Lares Trek and drive towards Ollantaytambo. The route will take you through scenic mountain roads, and the distance is approximately 50 km. The drive should take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, you can park your car in designated parking areas near the Ruinas Ollantaytambo. The ruins are located at PPVM+8JH, which should be easily accessible from the town.
Taxi
For a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Lares to Ollantaytambo. This option is more expensive, typically costing around 150-200 soles for the one-way trip, but it provides a convenient and quicker way to reach the ruins. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Ollantaytambo, the taxi can drop you off near the entrance to Ruinas Ollantaytambo at PPVM+8JH.
