Getting There

Walking
From the main entrance of Machu Picchu, head down the main stone pathway towards the exit. As you walk, follow the signs pointing towards Aguas Calientes. The path will lead you through lush greenery and past various archaeological sites. Continue walking until you reach the base of the mountain where the Inca Trail leads downwards. Keep walking straight until you arrive at the Aguas Calientes town entrance, which will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Aguas Calientes, continue onto Avenida Pachacutec, which will take you toward the market area.

Upon reaching Avenida Pachacutec, turn right and walk straight for about 500 meters. You will pass various shops and restaurants along the way. After approximately 10 minutes of walking, you will see signs for Mercado Aguas Calientes. Continue walking until you reach Antisuyo 102, where the market is located. The market will be on your left side, easily identifiable by its vibrant stalls and local vendors.
