Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Paracas National Reserve. Drive along the main road, following signs towards Playa La Mina. Keep an eye on your GPS as it will guide you to Camino Catedral, where La Cátedral is located. The drive is approximately 12 kilometers and takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Playa La Mina, you will see signs directing you to La Cátedral. There is usually no parking fee, but be sure to check for any local updates on parking regulations.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take a local bus from Paracas town towards Playa La Mina. Buses leave from the main square and typically run every 30 minutes. The fare is very affordable, usually around 1-2 soles. Inform the driver that you are going to Playa La Mina, and they will drop you off close to the entrance. From there, it’s a short walk to La Cátedral. Keep in mind that the bus schedule may vary, so it's a good idea to check the timing ahead of your visit.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking and want to take in the scenery, you can hike from the nearest bus stop at Playa La Mina to La Cátedral. The distance is approximately 1 kilometer and takes about 15-20 minutes on foot. Follow the path along the coastline, and you will reach the stunning rock formation. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially if you are visiting during the warmer months.
