Getting There

• Walking

  From Basco, the capital of Batanes, start at the Basco Plaza. Head east on Diadi Road until you reach the junction with the National Road. Turn right onto the National Road and continue walking for approximately 9 kilometers. You'll pass through the scenic landscapes and local villages, which provide a glimpse of Ivatan culture. As you approach Ivana, keep an eye out for the Ivana Lighthouse, which is situated on a hill overlooking the ocean. The final stretch involves a short uphill walk to the lighthouse itself.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle in Basco and head east on Diadi Road towards the National Road. Turn right onto the National Road and cycle for about 9 kilometers towards Ivana. The route is relatively flat with some gentle inclines. You might stop at various scenic spots along the way for photos. Upon reaching Ivana, park your bike at a safe location and walk the remaining distance to the Ivana Lighthouse, which is located on a hill. The view from the top is worth the effort!

• Tricycle

  From Basco, you can hire a tricycle to take you to Ivana Lighthouse. Head to the main tricycle terminal near Basco Plaza and negotiate with the drivers. The journey will take about 15-20 minutes. You will be dropped off at the base of the hill leading to the lighthouse. From there, it’s a short, steep walk up to the lighthouse. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to go specifically to Ivana Lighthouse.
