Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, your journey to Calaguas Island will start from the nearest major city, Daet, Camarines Norte. From Daet, take the Maharlika Highway (AH26) heading north toward Vinzons. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Vinzons. Once in Vinzons, you will need to head to the Vinzons Port. There is no direct road to Calaguas Island, so you will need to take a boat from here. Parking is available near the port, but make sure to inquire about fees, which typically range from PHP 50 to PHP 100 per day.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Manila to Daet, which operates daily. Buses leave from various terminals in Manila, such as Cubao or Pasay, and the fare ranges from PHP 600 to PHP 800. Upon arriving in Daet, you can take a tricycle or a jeepney to Vinzons Port. The tricycle fare should be around PHP 100, while a jeepney ride costs approximately PHP 20. At the Vinzons Port, you will need to hire a boat to Calaguas Island. The boat fare is typically around PHP 1,500 to PHP 2,500 round trip, depending on the number of passengers.

• Boat

  Once you arrive at Vinzons Port, you will need to board a boat to Calaguas Island. The boat ride usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Ensure that you negotiate the boat fare ahead of time, as prices can vary. Some boats may offer group rates, so consider teaming up with other travelers to reduce costs. It is also advisable to confirm the schedule with the boat operators, as services may depend on the weather and sea conditions.
