Getting There
Car
If you are driving from Manila, take the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and continue on to the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX). Follow signs to the Quezon Province, then take the Pan-Philippine Highway (AH26) towards Camarines Norte. Once you reach the town of Paracale, follow the signs to the Calaguas Island port (usually called Vinzons Port). The drive will take approximately 8 to 10 hours depending on traffic conditions.
Bus
For those traveling by bus, you can catch a bus from Manila to Daet, Camarines Norte. Buses leave from various terminals in Manila such as Cubao or Pasay. The journey takes about 10 to 12 hours. From Daet, take a local jeepney or tricycle to Vinzons Port, where you can find boats that will take you to Calaguas Island. Expect to pay around PHP 150-200 for the jeepney/tricycle fare.
Boat
Once you arrive at Vinzons Port, you will need to hire a boat to take you to Calaguas Island. The boat ride usually costs around PHP 1,500-2,500 for a round trip, depending on the type of boat and the number of passengers. The boat ride takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Make sure to negotiate the price and confirm the return schedule with your boat operator.
