Car
From any location in Cagayan Valley, head towards the town of Santa Ana. If you're coming from Tuguegarao City, take the National Highway towards the north for about 2 hours (approximately 100 kilometers). Once in Santa Ana, follow the signs for Cape Engaño, which is located on the northeastern tip of the peninsula. You will drive through scenic coastal roads. Upon reaching the area, you may need to park your car at a designated parking area nearby and proceed on foot to the lighthouse.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from your current location in Cagayan Valley to Santa Ana. Buses bound for Santa Ana are available from major terminals in Tuguegarao City. The fare is usually around PHP 150-200 and the trip takes approximately 2-3 hours. Upon arrival at the Santa Ana bus terminal, you can hire a tricycle or a local jeepney to take you to Cape Engaño. The fare for a tricycle ride to the lighthouse area will be around PHP 50-100. Once you reach the drop-off point, you will need to walk the remaining distance to the lighthouse.
Motorcycle Rental
If you prefer a more adventurous route, consider renting a motorcycle in Santa Ana. Several rental shops offer this service, with prices starting from PHP 400 per day. After renting a motorcycle, follow the coastal roads to Cape Engaño Lighthouse. The ride offers breathtaking views of the coastline, but be cautious of road conditions, especially during the rainy season.
