If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Tuguegarao City, which is roughly 86 kilometers away from Ilagan Sanctuary. Take the Cagayan Valley Road (National Road) heading south. Continue on this road until you reach the junction for Ilagan. Follow the signs for Ilagan, and once you arrive in the city, look for Jct National-Sta Victoria Rd. The sanctuary is located at the junction. Parking is available nearby. Make sure to check the local traffic updates to avoid delays.
Public Transportation - Bus
For those opting for public transport, head to the Tuguegarao City Bus Terminal and find a bus that goes to Ilagan. The travel time is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, and the fare is around PHP 60-80. Inform the bus conductor that you wish to get off at Ilagan. Once you arrive at the Ilagan bus terminal, you can take a tricycle or a jeepney to Jct National-Sta Victoria Rd. The tricycle fare will be around PHP 20-30.
Public Transportation - Jeepney
Alternatively, from the Ilagan bus terminal, you can take a jeepney that goes towards the area of Sta. Victoria. After a short ride, ask the driver to drop you off at Jct National-Sta Victoria Rd. The jeepney fare is approximately PHP 10-15. From the drop-off point, the sanctuary is within walking distance.
