Taytay Falls: A Refreshing Paradise in Majayjay, Laguna

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Manila, take the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and exit at Calamba. Proceed to the National Highway and follow the signs towards Los Baños. Continue on the route towards Majayjay, Laguna, which is approximately 2 hours from Manila depending on traffic. Once you reach Majayjay, follow the signs to Taytay Falls. The falls are located near the town proper, and parking is available nearby. Expect to pay a parking fee of approximately PHP 20.

• Bus

  For those traveling by public transportation, head to the bus terminals in Manila (such as Cubao or Pasay). Look for buses bound for San Pablo or Lucena. Make sure to inform the conductor that you want to alight at Majayjay. The bus ride will take about 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you arrive at Majayjay, you can either take a tricycle to Taytay Falls, which costs around PHP 20-50, or you can walk if you prefer a more scenic route. The falls are about 5 km from the town center.

  Upon reaching Majayjay town proper by bus, you can hire a tricycle to take you directly to Taytay Falls. The fare is typically between PHP 20 to PHP 50 per person, depending on the number of passengers and distance. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your trip.

• Walking

  If you're feeling adventurous and want to experience the local scenery, you can walk to Taytay Falls from Majayjay town proper. The walk is approximately 5 km and will take around 1 to 1.5 hours. Follow the main road leading to the falls, and enjoy the beautiful views along the way. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water!
