Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Manila. Take the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and head towards the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX). Continue on the SCTEX until you reach the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX). Follow the signs to San Fernando, and then take the road towards the province of Camarines Norte. Once you reach Vinzons, follow local signs to the port area where you can park your car. Make sure to check for designated parking areas and fees.

• Bus

  For those opting for public transportation, take a bus from Manila to Daet, Camarines Norte. Several bus companies operate this route, such as Philtranco and Penafrancia. The bus ride typically takes around 8 to 10 hours. Once you arrive in Daet, you will need to take a jeepney or a tricycle to Vinzons. The fare for the jeepney is approximately 30-50 PHP, and the ride will take around 30 minutes. Upon reaching Vinzons, head to the port area for the boat transfer to Calaguas Island.

• Boat

  From Vinzons, you will need to take a boat to Calaguas Island. There are local boats available at the port that can take you directly to the island. The boat ride can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the sea conditions. Expect to pay around 1,500 to 3,000 PHP for a round trip, which can be shared if you are traveling with a group. Make sure to negotiate and confirm the return schedule with the boat operator before you leave for the island.
