If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Manila. Take the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and then continue to the Maharlika Highway (AH26). Drive towards the direction of Camarines Norte. The trip is approximately 7 to 9 hours depending on traffic. Once you reach Vinzons, look for signs directing you to Paracale and follow them. Park your car in a designated area in Vinzons before heading to the boat port.

For those using public transportation, head to Cubao or Pasay bus terminals in Manila. Board a bus going to Daet, Camarines Norte. The fare typically ranges from ₱600 to ₱900 and the bus ride lasts around 8 to 10 hours. Once in Daet, transfer to a van or jeepney going to Vinzons. This leg of the journey will take about 30 minutes. Upon reaching Vinzons, you will need to hire a local boat to take you to Calaguas Island.

From Vinzons, you can hire a boat for approximately ₱1,500 to ₱2,500, depending on the size of the boat and the number of passengers. The boat ride to Calaguas Island takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to negotiate the price beforehand and confirm the return time with the boatman.

Once you arrive on Calaguas Island, you can hike to the main hiking spots by following the trails leading from the beach area.
