From Davao City, take the Davao-Agusan Highway (also known as National Highway) and head north. Continue driving for about 2 hours until you reach the town of Maragusan in Davao de Oro. Once you enter Maragusan, follow the signs to Brgy. New Leyte. The Amakan Crater is located at 9359+3RX, Brgy. New Leyte. Ensure you have a reliable GPS or map app, as some areas may have limited signage.

Public Transportation
From Davao City, you can take a bus from the Ecoland Bus Terminal heading to Maragusan. The bus ride takes approximately 2 to 3 hours. Once you arrive in Maragusan, you may need to hire a habal-habal (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Brgy. New Leyte. Inform the driver that you are going to Amakan Crater, and they will know the way. The habal-habal fare may vary, so be prepared to negotiate or ask for the standard rate.

If you are already in Maragusan, the best way to reach the Amakan Crater is to hire a habal-habal from the town center. The fare to Brgy. New Leyte is typically around PHP 150-300 depending on the distance and the driver. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes.
