From Davao City, head north on the Davao-Agusan National Highway (also known as the McArthur Highway). Continue for approximately 45 kilometers until you reach the junction in the town of Monkayo. Turn left onto the Monkayo-Mabini Road. Drive for about 11 kilometers, and then look for signages directing you to Awao Falls. The falls are located in Brgy. Awao, about 2 kilometers from the main road. You may need to park your vehicle at designated areas and walk the remaining distance to the falls. Ensure you have a map app active for the most accurate navigation.

From Davao City, take a bus or van heading to Monkayo. The ride typically takes about 2 to 3 hours. Once you arrive in Monkayo, you can hire a local habal-habal (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Awao Falls. The habal-habal ride will cost you around PHP 100 to PHP 150 per person, and it will take approximately 30 minutes to reach the falls. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand.
