If you're traveling by car, start from Davao City and head southeast on Jose P. Laurel Avenue. Continue straight onto National Highway (AH26) and follow the signs towards Mati. After approximately 100 km, take the exit towards Lupon. Follow the signs to Lupon Town Center. Once in Lupon, ask locals for directions to Pangyan Falls, which is about a 15-20 minute drive from the town center. Note that the roads can be narrow and winding, so drive cautiously.
Public Transportation
To reach Pangyan Falls via public transportation, take a bus from Davao City to Mati. Buses depart regularly from the Ecoland Bus Terminal. The fare is typically around 200-250 PHP. Once you arrive in Mati, transfer to a local jeepney heading to Lupon. The jeepney fare is about 30-50 PHP. After reaching Lupon, you will need to hire a tricycle to take you to Pangyan Falls. The tricycle fare is usually around 100-150 PHP for a round trip. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand.
Motorbike Rental
For the adventurous, consider renting a motorbike in Davao City. Rental shops are available, and prices usually range from 500-800 PHP per day. Follow the same route as driving a car, heading towards Lupon. The ride will take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Once in Lupon, ask for directions to Pangyan Falls, which is about 15-20 minutes away. Ensure you wear a helmet and drive safely, as the roads can be challenging.
