Freedom Park: A Green Oasis in Tagum City

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to Freedom Park in Tagum, Davao del Norte, start by getting on the Davao-Tagum National Highway (also known as the Pan-Philippine Highway). From Davao City, it takes about 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Tagum, keep an eye out for Arellano Street. Freedom Park is located on Arellano Street. You can use Google Maps or any GPS navigation app for real-time directions. Parking is available near the park.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Freedom Park via public transport, head to any bus terminal in Davao City, such as the Ecoland Transport Terminal. Look for buses traveling to Tagum (these are common and frequent). The bus fare usually ranges from 50 to 100 PHP depending on the type of bus. The journey takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Tagum bus terminal, you can either walk to Freedom Park (about a 15-minute walk) or take a tricycle for around 10-20 PHP.

• Public Transportation (Van or Jeepney)

  You can also take a van or jeepney from Davao City to Tagum. Head to the terminal where vans or jeepneys to Tagum are located (usually at the Ecoland Terminal). The fare is about 50 to 100 PHP and the trip will take about 1-1.5 hours. Upon arriving at the Tagum terminal, you can walk to Freedom Park (approximately 15 minutes) or hop on a tricycle for around 10-20 PHP.
