Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Manila, head east on the Ortigas Avenue Extension or EDSA towards Antipolo. Continue onto the Marcos Highway/National Road until you reach the town of Tanay in Rizal province. From Tanay, follow the signs to Daraitan. You will need to navigate to the Tinipak River, which is located near the Daraitan Village. Expect to drive approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Daraitan, park your car at a designated area, and prepare to hike to the river.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Tinipak River via public transport, take a bus from Manila to Tanay. Buses are available at various terminals including the Cubao Bus Terminal. The bus ride takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Tanay, you can take a tricycle to the Daraitan jump-off point. The tricycle ride will take around 30-45 minutes and may cost around PHP 150-200. From the jump-off point, you will need to hike approximately 30-45 minutes to reach Tinipak River and Rock Formation.

• Hiking

  Upon arriving at the Daraitan jump-off point, ensure you have proper hiking gear and sufficient water. The hike to Tinipak River involves traversing rough terrain, so be prepared for a moderate challenge. Follow the marked trail, and enjoy the scenic views along the way. It is advisable to hire a local guide, which may cost around PHP 500-1000, to ensure you stay on the right path and for safety.
