Car
If you are driving from Luzon, take the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and head towards the Batangas Port. Follow the signs for Batangas and when you reach the port, park your car in one of the designated parking areas. From Batangas Port, you will need to take a ferry to Calapan, Mindoro. The ferry ride typically takes about 1-2 hours, and tickets range from PHP 300 to PHP 600 depending on the ferry service. Once you arrive in Calapan, you can drive to the nearest port, which is the Caticlan Jetty Port. This will take approximately 4-5 hours. At Caticlan, park your car in a secure parking area. Purchase a ticket for the boat to Boracay, which takes around 15-20 minutes and costs about PHP 25-30.
Bus
For public transportation, you can board a bus from various terminals in Metro Manila, such as Cubao or Pasay. Choose a bus line that goes to Batangas Port; this journey will take approximately 2-3 hours. After arriving at Batangas Port, take a ferry to Calapan, Mindoro. The ferry ride lasts around 1-2 hours with a ticket cost of PHP 300 to PHP 600. Upon arrival in Calapan, take a bus or van to Caticlan Jetty Port, which takes about 4-5 hours. Finally, from Caticlan Jetty Port, pay for a ticket for the boat to Boracay, which takes about 15-20 minutes and costs PHP 25-30.
Air
Although Boracay is not in Luzon, flying is a convenient option. Book a flight from Manila to Caticlan Airport (also known as Godofredo P. Ramos Airport). Flights are frequent and take about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Caticlan, take a tricycle or van to Caticlan Jetty Port, which is a short ride away. Purchase a ticket for the boat to Boracay, which takes around 15-20 minutes and costs about PHP 25-30. Alternatively, there are flights to Kalibo International Airport, but this option requires a longer land transfer of about 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Caticlan Jetty Port.
