If you are driving from Davao City, head north on the Davao-Cotabato Road (also known as the Pan-Philippine Highway, National Route 1). Continue on this road for about 2 hours until you reach the junction for Cotabato City. Take the exit towards Cotabato City and follow the signs. Once in Cotabato City, take the Cotabato-Provincial Road heading north. After approximately 30 minutes, turn left onto the road leading to Pikit. Continue on this road for about 15 minutes; you will see signs for Fort Pikit. The exact address is Sitio Ababon, Fort, Pikit, Cotabato 9409. Make sure to have a local map or GPS for navigation, as roads can be less clearly marked.
Public Transportation - Bus
From Davao City, go to the Ecoland Bus Terminal, where you can find buses heading to Cotabato City. The fare is approximately 200-300 PHP and the journey will take about 3-4 hours. Once you arrive at the Cotabato City bus terminal, look for a van or jeepney going to Pikit. These typically leave when full and the fare is around 50-100 PHP. The ride to Pikit will take about 30-45 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Sitio Ababon, as it is a known area near Fort Pikit.
Public Transportation - Jeepney
If you are in nearby towns like Midsayap or Libungan, you can take a jeepney to Pikit. Jeepneys frequent these routes, and the fare is generally about 20-30 PHP. Once you arrive in Pikit, you can ask locals for directions to Sitio Ababon, which is where Fort Pikit is located. It’s advisable to have some basic local phrases ready to communicate.
