Car
If you are driving a car, start from Alona Beach in Panglao Island. Head northeast on Hontanosas Road towards the Panglao Island Circumferential Road. Continue on the Circumferential Road for about 3.5 km until you reach the intersection with the Tagbilaran City Road (also known as the Circumferential Road). Turn left onto Tagbilaran City Road and continue for approximately 14 km. You will pass through various barangays and rural areas. Once you reach Cortes, look for signs directing you to Abatan River. The river is located near the center of Cortes, and you can follow local signs for specific access points. Parking may be available near the river entrance.

Public Transportation (Bus/Van)
To take public transportation, make your way to the main terminal in Panglao Island. Look for vans or buses heading to Tagbilaran. Once you board, inform the driver that you want to get off at Cortes. The fare is typically around PHP 50-70 depending on the vehicle. Upon arrival in Cortes, you can ask locals for directions to Abatan River, as it is a known location. It should be a short walk from the main road to the river.

If you prefer a more direct route from Tagbilaran City, you can hire a tricycle. After reaching Tagbilaran, go to the tricycle terminal and ask for a ride to Abatan River in Cortes. The fare for the tricycle should be negotiated but expect to pay around PHP 150-200 for the trip. The tricycle will take you directly to the river, which is a convenient option if you're traveling with a group or have luggage.
