Tricycle
From any location in Tagaytay, head to the nearest main road. Look for a tricycle terminal or flag down a passing tricycle. Tell the driver you want to go to Makiling Botanic Gardens in Los Baños, Laguna. The ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic, and you'll be dropped off at the entrance of the gardens.
Jeepney
If you're near the Tagaytay Rotonda, you can take a jeepney bound for Los Baños. Board the jeepney and sit back for about 30-40 minutes. After reaching the Los Baños area, ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for UP Los Baños. From there, you can either walk (approximately 15-20 minutes) or take a tricycle to the Makiling Botanic Gardens.
Bus
You can take a bus from Tagaytay to Los Baños. Look for buses at the bus terminal in Tagaytay that are headed to San Pablo or Calamba. Inform the conductor that you are going to the University of the Philippines in Los Baños. After arriving in Los Baños, take a tricycle to Makiling Botanic Gardens, which is about a 10-minute ride from the bus stop.
